INSULATION The STYSOL panel’s ability to insulate is characterized by a low coefficient of thermal conductibility, which allows notable energy savings in the heating and cooling of buildings, and contributes to the reduction of emissions that influence the our climate. |

RESISTANCE TO COMPRESSION The homogenous cellular structure is “closed cell” which gives STYSOL an elevated mechanical resistance and renders it particularly advantageous in industrial sub-pavement applications and in load-bearing roofs. |

WATERPROOF The sheets of STYSOL resist water permeation, even after prolonged exposure. They maintain, unaltered, their insulation properties as well as their mechanical properties. |

FIREPROOF During the production of the extruded polystyrene STYSOL, the best fireproofing additives are used in an optimum mixture along with the other ingredients. For this reason the STYSOL panels are scarcely flammable, not allowing any flame to spread. The behavior of STYSOL panels, in contact with fire, has been certified as Euroclass E, in conformation with current fire prevention regulations. |

COMPATIBLE WITH PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT Light and manageable, STYSOL has no odor, does not stick to one’s hands, does not irritate the skin or pulverize during installation. To cut or shape it, standard woodworking equipment should be used. This simplifies tremendously the work of setting out and framing, and allows for maximum accuracy with reduced waste – even in the most complex detail work. |
